Special NO 9 House, Kieran Timberlake The environmental control that Kieran Timberlake attempt in their buildings is relatively close to what I would like to achieve in my interventions. Without the technology, but relying strictly on the notions of hot air rising, cross-ventilation, and reducing the amount that a building will heat up in the sun. There’s lots of notions of livable space in this structure as well…not to mention the inclusion of the rain water collection. I have a fairly extensive street section that incorporates permeable paving for the absorption of rain water, and the cleansing of grey water and effluent in a series of reed beds. One day when I have time I’ll talk about this more in detail. Comments (View) |
